university is not as exciting as you are led to believe. today i have gone to morrisons for groceries, mopped the kitchen floor, and poached an egg. i am toying with the idea of laundry.

it's not a white-knuckle ride.

oh college. (is it ever called that in the UK? i'm clueless)
college is SO anti-climactic. especially after high school where, for me anyway, a lot of people were always singing my praises, telling me i was going to do so many wonderful things. then i got to college and it felt like starting over because nobody knew me nor anything i'd done previously.
to me, it felt like university was going to be the natural continuation/conclusion to where i'd been in life in high school, but then it was completely the opposite because i couldn't pick up where i'd left off. you know? it's like starring in indie films, then starring in wide release motion pictures: everyone knows you, supports you, it's a natural upgrade of sorts. but i missed the "upgrade" part and have to start all over. ugh.
