Oh, Rose. Rose, I love you SO MUCH. "How do you think Tavros is feeling?" And the observation that Tavros wants Dave there because Dave was there for him throughout the whole mess - I mean, just, awww. And oh god, yes, Tavros just really needs a hug right now. (And, in true Tavros fashion, asks for one in THE most awkward way possible.)

Is it horribly prurient to note that I'm kind of intrigued by the earlier remark about no visible genitalia? Am I being completely ridiculous by asking if I'm being prurient in a kink meme request? ...probably. Oh well!

The wings I have in mind are those of the Promethea moth. :)Limbs shaking, Tavros crawls eagerly onto Dave's lap, letting the human situate him however he wants. His whole body relaxes in Dave's arms, wings trying to flutter and then settling. Slowly, Dave lifts a hand to one of them, brushing the top. Tavros makes a soft, happy noise, which Dave thinks is a good sign, and he takes to gently unfolding the membrane. He can see what Kanaya meant, now, about them being different. There is more substance to them, and though they're still damp, Dave can see the patterns and change in color, more intricate than Vriska's or Aradia's wings

Tavros is very sweet, but maybe a little under-sex-educated, though given the ages they're supposed to be that's rather understandable.

I looked up the moth in question, and, wings! very pretty.
