Beta Kids + Scratched Dave

Scratched!Dave has grown up remembering everything and everyone he had in his original timeline that was all ripped away from him. He does his best to be a good dad to young-Bro, throws himself into his creative work to support Bro and try to give himself something to do with his life, but basically he lives a miserable, disconnected existence full of what-might-have-beens.

And then somehow his friends from the beta end up in the scratched world, and Dave is the first to meet them when they show.

I'd just really like to see some of Dave's struggles getting through life/parenting/the movie biz while being trapped in such a deep, dark emotional place, and then his reaction when the reunion happens and the world suddenly feels okay again.

Bonus points if he actually cries some non-ironic happy tears.

(Feel free to have beta session Dave show up with the other three kids if that makes more sense to you. Ship is up to you, I'd actually enjoy just friendship or kids OT4 but anything is fine.)
