Prompt: Bro can have anyone he wants. Getting dates is NOT a problem for him. But admitting he's in love - like really in love - with his little brother's best friend is a tough thing for the Bro. And it gets worse when John decides to go to college (at seventeen because, fuck, he's pretty good at schoolwork, but not at common sense) in the city so he can be closer to Dave and Bro since they're his closest friends.
Dave decides to play match-maker.
Bonus points for Bro losing his cool and having a couple small freak-outs either in the privacy of his room or when it's just him and Dave because, fuck, John makes him feel so uncool.
Extra bonus points for vanilla fluff-sex and hand-holding during sex.
Long fills are preferred, but I'll take anything as long as it's fluffy and tooth-rottingly sweet.

You're not entirely sure why you answer the door, but it's probably because you're not used to someone knocking on the door at 1 PM. AM, sure, but this is way too early for even you to be fully coherent.
It's a good thing you wear your sunglasses to sleep, or else this would have the potential to be awkward, as you feel your eyes widen a fraction of an inch.
John looks pretty much the same as you remember him looking (not that you remember much besides messy black hair, glasses and an overbite, and even those visuals are blurry, or, you know, would have been if you'd tried to picture him in your mind before today), only older, which is to be expected.
The fact that he doesn't even look that much older than he did two years ago is the weirdest thing. Maybe he looks a little lankier, less pudgy-but not any taller, not anywhere near your height, or even Dave's, and definitely not any older, just in the general sense of the word ( ... )

You don't understand anything that ends up going down between the two of you, actually.
He tells you everything you didn't know you wanted to know about his life. How he graduated high school early ("because I'm dumb, but I'm not stupid"), how despite what Dave thinks, he didn't choose his college solely for the reason of proximity to where the two of you live ("I mean, you guys are awesome, but they have a really good film program"), and how he's sort of nervous about the whole thing, if he can be totally honest with you ("I'm sort of homesick already, which is why I came over here").
The thing is, you listen. You don't say much, but you listen, and you think of things that you could say to help him, like, yeah, man, ( ... )
