Oh, how I love the Mal and Zoe dialog.

“I’ll consider it.” Zoe appeared to waver. “But it’s gonna cost you.”

“There’s my girl!” Mal crowed, and Simon thought that would certainly cost him.

I love how you've made the relationship between Mal and Zoe so clear by showing it, rather than trying to explain it. :)

This is coming along great, You really must be polishing this because you're only just coming to the bit you were struggling over when I was there. I could tell by reading you were channeling Mal & Zoe again. I guess you had to give your brain a little rest. : )

As I came in waaaay late to this, I'm going to use this to comment on the fic up to this point as a whole.

On a lark, I emailed the first chapter to myself before I left for work. After reading it I broke every work IT rule there is and read the other chapters between orders. I loved it that much. The characters are spot on perfect. I have laughed out loud and snarked like I have not snarked since the series.

It's brill. I look forward to more.

Fear not, work is shiny. I have long gaps of time with zip to do and techniclly I'm not supposted to be on the net, but my boss is cool. As long as it doesen't effect my work!

Mal is hilarious in that conversation with Zoe. I adore the voice you had him adopt, and the wonderful way Zoe just knew what was going on. And Simon's disapproval is also great. :-)

And making fun of Jayne never stops being amusing, does it?
