sounds like i missed out... but hey maybe if the next one is going to be bigger maybe u can think about including some more bands that arnt metal and dont have breakdowns ( not that theres anything wrong with that ). Theres alot of great aussie hardcore bands out there that fit into that category and i think alot of kids today coming up in the various scenes dont realize this.
Theres nothing wrong with metal but when it comes down to it metal isnt hardcore.. its metal.

yeah this is true, but this was a metal fest.... bassicly next year im going to look at other bands.. Maybe like the like last nerve or taking sides or whatever.. maybe even mindsnare.. Hardcore in aus these days in more metal orientated.. Just cause bands are old school and play a kinda hardcore doesnt mean they are core.. Bands who are a hardcore band support shows, supprt bands and support the scene.. The dudes who are in metal band ie parkway drive, prom queen, doc etc are the people doing the shows and supporting smaller bands and whatever.. So its not what ya band sounds like its who u are and what u are about..

i agree totally... its whats in you heart that counts... but having said that...variety is the spice of life.. or so they say.
And i also think that people need to realise that there are other harcore scenes out there that are just as "hardcore" with just as much commitment and punk ethics as any the metal hardcore scene.
i just think that sometimes kids these days tend to get into harcore with meatl blinkers on and cant see anything else.

yeah thats totally true.. new kids need to learn about old bands.. Not jsut whats cool at the momment.. Adelaide kids who havent heard of force fed nine and price of silence and melborune kids who love metalcore and havent heard of ultimatum.. Its the same with international music.. Next year with the fest im going to have it as a hardcore show.. There will be hardcore metal bands.. but there will be old school core bands too. Im planning 2 stages and out doors.. With more planning and promo i think we could get over 1000 people to this kinda show.. Like if we got 700 on a sunday night.. ill put rushmore on next year dont worry hahahahahaa..
