I was offered the counter manager position officially today along with a raise. But all the stipulations that came along with the upgrade made me nauseous. I've been working really hard to maintain my counter now that I'm the only person there to run it. For the month of October I beat LY with a percentage above--that hasn't been done in six

well, congrats on the position. however, i know it sucks dealing with power-tripping "you could always do better" supervisors attitude. However hard you work, it's never hard enough in their eyes. Meet the goals they give you, and they'll simply raise the bar and expect you to meet higher goals.

Fuck them and their attitudes. Just do your best, which i know you do, and try not to let it bring you down. You are a phenomenal saleswoman, that i know. If you were to leave the counter, their sales would plummet... Hopefully, it wont take that extreme a measure for them to realize how valuable you are to them.

That sucks.... I couldn't stand all the politics in cosmetics either when I was doing it. When I first started Aveda was still owned by it's original creator and then Estee Lauder took over and turned it all into crap like "selling credit cards." :( I refuse to have a job until it's one that I like, LOL. Sorry you had to miss school for that! :(
