The internet is just sooo soo bad right now. How do you do friend's only posts with this new LJ set-up? What is this shit?

If you hover your mouse in the blank area by the magnifying glass in the top right, there is a blank box with a link which, when clicked, will pop up a dialogue that lets you switch back to the old site scheme.
