Unfortunately, you are different, Brad. Though I tend to hate the use of titles, you are a homosexual. By definition, you are different than myself. Sure, there are millions like you, but there are millions unlike you. Difference is a fact of life ( ... )

I'm sick of these arguments that make it sound like equality under the law for gays is going to take rights away from everyone else. Like there's some finite number of "marriages" you're worried about depleting. As if it is going to make heterosexual marriage "diminished" somehow. This "have your cake and eat it too" business is, forgive me, bullshit.

Yes, heterosexuality and homosexuality are going to be different. So are a load of other details lost in the mist there. What matters is when you start justifying the separation of people as a matter of law due to those differences. Whatever happened to "all men are created equal?"

Or should we be getting on the back of the bus?

If you noticed, I didn't say allowing homosexual marriage is taking rights away from anyone. My point was that if someone wants to be treated equally, well people are being treated equally right now. You can't ask to be treated equally and then ask for special designations.

Sorry for drifting into this discussion from the mists, but here are my two cents ( ... )
