Believe it or not, out of the mists of random coincidence, after I read this post one of MY friends told me the exact same thing, though it was not coming from someone I'd consider straight, and I refuted most of their "points" which were largely wishful thinking anyway.

Sorry you had such an annoying exchange as well as the rest (my comments there: You should listen to some Adam Lambert for a bit! Also, I loathe "ghey.")

Oh boy. I think the thing that hits me as funny about this whole mess is that she is in a wonderful relationship and has many relationships in the past. Whereas I'm single. Go figure.

I ended up watching a movie that played with heteronormativity a little and then waffled. It was weird. Made me want to rewatch Were the World Mine for some actual challenging of the concept.
