why are you so concerned with other universes and so on. i'm certainly not. i live in a tiny section of this one, and i'm not interested in what else is out there. i'm not there, it doesn't affect me, it's not my concern. there may very well be clues that god exists if you're willing to have the faith and follow them, but i'm not willing to have the faith. remember what i said a bit ealier, look for something hard enough and you'll find it. when something becomes apparent of its own volition i will believe in it. until then, i'm not making a decision either way.

God does not live in our universe, but outside of it. You could call it another universe outside of ours. Another dimension. I care about it because i believe that we affect that universe and vice versa. I believe its there that Heaven and Hell exist and where spiritual matters take place. Also i think that's where our souls are from.
If something becomes apparent of its own volition... without you looking for it? I dont suppose you'll let me take the credit for this? Ah well. But if you won't believe someone being brought back from the dead in front of your eyes, then what will it take? How high are your standards?

people come back from being "dead" rather often. consider our medical technology and compare it to 2000 years ago. people are still being pronounced dead and then getting up out of the morgue and walking out all confused. look at rasputin.. got shot a bunch poisoned burned and drowned, and his cause of death was something unrelated to any of that, i can't even remember what it was. people can endure intense physical pain and still be alive, people can be pronounced dead and not be dead. i don't believe jesus "came back from the dead" i believe he was assumed dead because people didn't generally survive being crucified, but hey, sometimes people are wrong.
So, what are the standards?homoviatorFebruary 3 2004, 04:10:02 UTC
Hmm, i suppose its a possibility that He wasnt actually dead, especially if Jesus wasn't the Christ. But if Jesus was the Christ, and the bible is the Word, then Jesus couldnt have lied about it.
Oh yeah, but the topic we were discussing is what would make you believe... by what standards would such an event have to fall under?
