You see what is going on in the world but we see that there exists what we can't see. But its our view that's narrow? Is it narrow to wonder if there's someting after death? Is it narrow to think there's more to life than simply existing for but a moment in time? Can any of us see the wind? No, but we can see the affects of the wind. Yet we ( Read more... )

i believe in all the happenings in the bible, i do not believe in god's hand being in them. i don't think the bible is a bunch of fairy tales, i think it's history and it's being told from the points of view or people who were looking for something, and shocking i know, they found it. haven't you ever heard if you look for something hard enough you'll find it? christians are narrow minded like i'm narrow minded. they're just people that decided one way or the other rather than myself who refuses to decide because there's no clear "winner" either for or against god.

Ok, so what if Jesus was mentally deranged and had a mistaken view of himself? Well, the portrait of Jesus in the Gospels does not square with the lunacy theory, except by argument from silence. We can speculate that Jesus was subject to periodic episodes of dysfunction that simply were not recorded in the Gospels. But if Jesus was mentally deranged, then He was surely the most peculiar and unusual case of lunacy in general, and the messiah complex in particular, in history ( ... )
