It is not. If you look at hentai sites, the fine print always indicates the INTENDED age of the illustration is at least eighteen years of age.

I think scenes of horrendous violence are deemed appropriate because of situational ethics. There are times when murder is deemed acceptable, such as self defense or war. Any graphic depiction of, say, a disembowled human being might be deemed tasteless, but it's stretching acceptability.

Meanwhile sexual acts involving children are not acceptable under any circumstance in our society.

And on that note, go to www.familywatchdog.us and check out the sex offenders near you in a nifty color-coded map!

I just got word from Mr Coleman that illustrated kiddie porn is indeed illegal. Apparently, there are even some people in the Midwest who have found themselves in some shit because they have digitally created images that though they do not explicitly contain li'l nekkid kids, there's something about it that makes some of the more conservative lawyers consider it morally equivalent to child porn. I'm looking for the images themselves but it's hard sloggin' out in that there internet. "Child pornography," even if one only regards the non-nudie sites, still gets a lot of hits.
