For anyone who didn't know, Japanese concerts are just like American concerts, save your monies.

lol, that's what i always thought tbh. the way everyone talks it up i thought, c'mon now :\. i may be one of the few but i've always liked the aggression and individual movements in the US crowds. plus the screaming and everything that is always complained about. either way, did you have fun?

I think it's just the fact that they sometimes do cool shit at the bigger venues. Those are probably a bit different, but club lives are exactly the same, DEG doesn't act any different, except for Kyo's rallying and calling the audience assholes ;P

The Japanese audiences certainly aren't lacking in aggression, but yeah. New songs were silly, no one knew what to do, it was pretty lame. It makes the well-known hard songs kind of fun, though. Bugaboo and Hydra 666 were awesome. Sometimes the synchronized yelling is fun, cause you get more into it. IDK why anyone complains about it. The Japanese interrupt Kyo/the ends of songs to scream/cheer. The only difference is that they shut up during Inward Screams. *shrug*
Yeah, I did. It wasn't one of the best I've been too, but it was really good. I kinda felt like I was going to die the entire time, and the setlist missed a good chunk of DSS, but yeah.

oh, yes! i didn't mean they're lacking in aggression. i meant that i've heard and read a lot of complaints from fellow US fans about how it's ~so aggressive at shows. they complain about pushing and headbanging and moshing and screaming and say things along the lines of how rude we US fans are compared to Japanese fans. but i've always thought, i'm sure Japanese fans do to same.
glad to hear you had a god time though. i think they said something about integrating DSS into their setlists gradually rather than all at once.

I know, just reaffirming the notion, ehehe. Wth. People really think/say that? I answered a question on Yahoo the other day; someone was asking about concerts 'cause they'd never seen DEG before, and they said that they knew Japanese concerts weren't as intense. I was kinda... "Mmm... nah." I'd only expect that kind of thing from someone who wasn't familiar with their concerts though. They really aren't any different. You're correct :3

Ahhh, okay. I'm seeing them again in late October so hopefully they'll have a bit more variety by then! I'd really like some Blossoming Beelzebub, Vanitas, Diabolos, Ruten no Tou... all of DSS, really. More practice for the Ame tour!
