Wow, that "advice" is hilarious! Thanks for sharing!! I can relate on the "he MUST be hungry!" thing...drives me crazy!! It's second only to "his/her feet must be freezing! Put some socks/shoes on that baby!" in my list of things I want to slap people for saying. Whenever I nurse in public, I cover myself (probably too thoroughly) with a blanket. I once had a lady at Wal-Mart want to see Lila's face while I was feeding her!! I was like O_O, but she wouldn't leave, so I carefully pulled the blanket back until she could see an ear and she was ok with that. Seriously, I could not believe that had just happened! Still can't, actually. Bill Cosby had that show "Kids Say the Darndest Things", but I think they should do a show of "People Say (and do) the Darndest Things Around Kids!" (and pregnant women for that matter
( ... )
yeah, I'm all about covering- I always have blankets ready, but Mexico isn't big on air conditioning, so usually it's about 95 degrees when I want to nurse. I have occasionally used a cover-up blanket in these circumstances, but Ethan's little head turns bright red, and he sweats like crazy! So, then I feel bad, and figure I can handle a little humilation if he's comfortable.
Also, I forgot to put on my list that putting a red thread on your baby's forehead will cure hiccups. Doesn't work (what a shock).
