Loved this, sweetie. It's sad for Zeke and Torrin that Vickie pulled that stunt and left, but she's the one really losing out. I loved the idea they had to go to Ohio every year from now on and anyone wanting to visit them would have to go to Herrinton to do so.
I love this so much. It's sad about Kiki (I kinda liked that name before this. It fits Vickie). Especially when you see there was a sweet moment of rapport. But Casey saved the day and intuitively was prepared with a wonderful home for the holiday. Love the Conners. The surprise was priceless. Still wish there was a blue eyed baby around also with Torrin but there is something very special in the fact that Torrin is Zekes and a tangible proof of him being a good father. This sorta all reminders me of future geek out. Love them and you!!
This chap has it all, including the pain and hurt of real life. Sniff, sniff but what a heartwarming story. Full of love, warmth and angst. Zeke can always remind himself that he's giving Torrin a better life.
What Zeke's mother did and had done ( or not done ) over the years was shitty but I can't help feeling a bit sorry for her. One of these days, she's going to end up a lonely old lady and she had only herself to blame. I don't think Zeke ( and Casey by extension ) could ever forgive her though Torrin is a different story I think. There's a bond there, and I think Torrin would be her salvation. I think! ( And I love Torrin calling her Kiki ).
