the sale

 So yesterday the sale started at work. I was exhausted from working from 3 til 1:30 in the morning the day before. Most people were generally happy. Some weren't because of returns. There was one customer though that just pissed me off. It was about 8 last night. She made her purchase and the girl ringing her up forgot to use her 10% off coupon. ( Read more... )

I had a lady I rang up yesterday buy like, $300 in sale stuff, then hand me five of the $10 off a $50 purchase coupons that are on our receipts that they take a survey for. So I told her I couldn't take all of those, and she said that every other one she'd been in had taken her, so I got my manager and he told her the same thing. but then he added that since she had so much sale stuff she couldn't use it on that. she had two shirts she could have used it towards but it wasn't $50 worth so she got mad and said she didn't want any of it and that she was going to another mall because they didn't give her problems. I was tempted to call over there and let them know she was coming, but i couldnt' so i didn't.

not trying to one up your idiot customer story, just sharing. I knew you'd understand mine, and i guess i posted this to show i understand yours.

don't you just hate customers like that? we are just trying to do our jobs and they have to get all bitchy. sorry she was pissy to you

It's okay. She's the one that didn't get what she wanted. We were up like $2000 on the day when I left so obviously it didn't hurt us that much. I"m sorry your was pissier. Besides, she's the one that wanted you to return everything. I would have just post voided it without asking and been done with it. but that's probably not how you're "supposed" to do things. Which is why I am just an associate and not a sales lead.
