I need a hair cut.  I think I will get a trim before going back to Chicago for Memorial Day.  What I'd really like to do is dye it really blonde.  Not Gwen Stefani blonde but something lighter than my color now.  Unfortunately that would require a full dye job and I just don't think I could do that.  Thanks for listening.

Just FYI... I don't get a "full die job" either.
I always get my hair foiled, and I never get the underneath done... and I just recently went much blonder... I used to always be very blonde, then I have been a darker blonde for years, but I am getting great reviews on the lighter...

anyway, you don't have to do the whole head, you can have it foiled... it works beautifully and ask your hairdresser to put a "rootlift" on you when she washes the dye out...

foiling will totally do the trick! then, if you want it darker later on, you can just get low lights put in.

Thanks for the tips ladies! How much does a foil job usually cost? I go to a pretty reasonable salon so don't worry about outrageous Boston prices or anything.

Well, it depends, you have a choice of how much of your head... I do 3/4.... and I go to Jean Paul Spa, which is totally outrageous in prices so it costs me $128.00 for a cut and color... BUT Thank GOD my hairdresser is moving to a new, cheaper saloN!

I think at a normal place around 70 or 80 for cut and color! :)
