Personally, I'd love to choose myself if I were the bridesmaid. I've seen brides pick the color and let the bridesmaids all wear dresses from the same line that flattered them each individually and they looked wonderfully! You can specify that they all be a certain length for example.
What do your girls say?

I asked them and they liked the idea but now with it being long distance and stuff I'm wondering if it's harder. I'm probably just being paranoid. I'm sure they're fine with it.

I told them that they could not wear floor length because that's what Annie-Maid of Honor-will be wearing. SO I did specify a little. It's just hard because none of them are here and I can't go shopping with them. :(

Yeah, but if you say, "this designer" and this shade...and this length ~ they'll be able to find a cut and bodice that is flattering for them! I'm sure of it!!

I had originally told them tea length. And then Annie, maid of honor, gets floor length. We'll see. Definitely just want it to be simple!

Yeah, good call. I emailed this whole thing, keeping in mind the specific ones I liked that I thought would look good on them. I would love to be able to narrow it down to one designer too that way the colors are pretty close.

I think I am going to pick out the dresses for the girls- I want everyone to look alike. I'm just hoping I can find a dress that everyone agrees on. It would bother me a lot if everyone wasn't matching... (I'm a bit of a perfectionist) Both weddings I have been in the bride has picked the dress... I like it that way because then I don't have to make the decision. It's the brides day so she should have what she wants. :-)

A lot of those dresses are really cute!

Yeah...the thing is that the bride wants them to be different...but I don't want it to be hard on them and confusing because it's long distance. But since you said it, I guess I'll just go with my original plan of having them pick out their own. It'll be fine! Thanks :)

Hi! Got your e-mail and read through this - I'd personally love to pick my own and am looking forward to it, but obviously it's whatever you want.

What brought this on?

Just think of Bad Boys 2 and give it a mighty OOO-SAAAAAAAAA.

Ok good. I don't know what exactly brought it on. I guess I just got worried making things more difficult and some people have told me that it's much easier when the bride just picks out the dress for you so I started to worry, especially with the distance. That's all. It was a manic moment at work :P I think it was all in my head and all my girls just wanna pick their own so I'm all good :) Thanks for asking me.
