After a 1 week interruption to my marathon, I got down to the business of finishing the second season. There were some really funny moments, and a few moments in which I cried. Anyway, ...
Stuff
I wish we got to see more of Barney's play. Also, I was kinda sad that Robin was willing to get rid of her dogs. I'm not getting rid of Baxter for any dude. Baxter was here first!
Arrivederci, Fiero
I could totally relate to this. For me it was a 1990 Honda Accord that I shared with my brother. We had so many road trips, crazy happenings and near-fatal experiences in that car, that when we moved to Canada and had to sell it, we were both devastated.
Moving Day
I knew it wouldn't work out between Robin and Ted (we knew that from Season 1 Episode 1) and I knew that this would be the beginning of the end. That grenade phone sounds awesome though. Also, I had new found respect for Barney. I can't believe I'm typing this, but they should listen to Barney more often. Also, why do they have to give Robin all these bad habits. Can't Ted be the imperfect one for once?
Bachelor Party
I knew Robin's gift would be okay. Thanks, Sex and the City, for turning our Moms, Aunties and Grannies into these highly sexualized beings. I don't want to hear my Mom talk about how cute Jeffrey Dean Morgan's naked butt is. Also, I find myself crushing on Brad and his hairless chest.
Showdown
I cried when Barney couldn't tell Bob Barker that he thought he was his father. I love it when they show vulnerable Barney.
Something Borrowed
Marshall and Lily had already worked through their wedding jitters last season, so it was nice to have that absent from the "wedding episode". Marshall's Backstreet Boys/Britney Spears/Larry Fine moment was awesome. Also, Brad and his hairless chest makes an appearance. Yum!
Something Blue
Not eating at your own wedding - that happened to my cousin. It totally explains why couples seem to cut themselves enormous pieces of the wedding cake. I knew the break up was coming but I was surprised they could hide it for 2 weeks. I love how this show is full of callbacks and awesome continuity. Oh, Ted.
Bring on Season 3!!
