There's a certain time of late night, just as the night sheds for the morning, just before dawn. I'm often up at that time and, regardless of who is actually stirring, the world is so quiet that I feel I might be the only person awake for miles.

I think that I might like to have my funeral at that time of day. For the half hour leading up to 5:00 Am my friends and family can speak of me as they would at any other funeral but when that hour arrives I want an open invitation to anyone who didn't like me to say whatever they want to about me just to see who has the gumption to talk shit about me in the hour when I used to rule the world.
