Although I can never quite tell from one moment to the next whether 180-degree change might be forthcoming, at this moment it feels like a good idea to lay off the LJ for a little. It is clear that I've been neglecting my responsibility as a friend to remember

Jane! I got your message at about 8 last night (my cell phone's not very good at telling me when I've missed a call) and I remember reading your posts about the David James Duncan speaking but I somehow thought it was on Wednesday and completely forgot about it yesterday. How was it? I wish I could have been there. Anyhows, I hope all is well!
