I'm afraid I must indulge in some curiosity. Why, saying some almost makes it sound as if it isn't entirely my own, but I assure you, it is -- although if there are any others with the same matters of curiosity, do feel free to share~ Keeping things to oneself is terribly selfish, after all!

Now. It may be something that hits sadly~♪ close to home ( Read more... )

glad he's not the cat, curiosity killed the cat, playing with words is fun

You want to know the sorts of places it was impossible to leave from? I don't really know much about my world, but no one could leave the AL Revis Academy until they graduated. No one could get in either, unless the teachers allowed them.

Is that the sort of thing you meant?

I'm not quite sure if it is what I meant until you explain as to quite why no one could leave or enter, unless it really was just a matter of permission and one could sneak in if they so desired.

But no, I don't think it is. It sounds far too usual for that.

Well, it's a school to teach alchemists, and the power and responsibility to an alchemist is to dangerous to just let them go only partially trained. So the school has lots of regulations on when a student is considered a full fledged alchemist and can go. For the same reason entry is very strict and small. The school floats in the air with lots of security measures set up, as well as a path that only those with the talent for alchemy can see. On top of that a barrier was set up so no one could leave or come in.

A long time ago there was a war... so, no one wants to repeat that so they came up with a lot of restrictions, rules, and special education in order to restrict another.

I'm sorry, I couldn't really think of anything else.

Hmm~♪ I suppose that's closer to what I had in mind! It sounds rather fascinating, rules and regulations aside which, I'm quite certain, are not fascinating!

...The government had to lock down the Yamanote circle. There were poisonous gas leaks. We'd almost been in there a week when I was brought here.

Yamanote circle?

How boooring~!

Now, now, Emily, don't be so rude~ Don't mind her, will you? -- How, exactly, was this Yamanote circle impossible to escape from?

((ooc: Uhm. Emily is a small doll that lives on his shoulder. He 'makes her speak' read: ventriloquism.))

Um... sure. The entire thing was blockaded by the Self-Defense Force. A few people were killed trying to get past them, so I don't think any normal people could have managed to escape.

Oh. No. That doesn't sound like what I meant at all.

[And as always, Draco's going to make things difficult] And what brings up such a curiosity, Break?

Oh, I wonder. What do you think~?

I'm not interested in what I think, I'm more curious about your mind.

But I am interested in what you think! It's a slight conundrum, really, isn't it? And also terribly sad when two individual's aims and desires don't match up~♪

But really! I was just thinking about one or two things -- I'm sure you can understand -- and as they say, one thing leads to another, quite often in ways that are difficult to understand and I ended up at t.h.i.s question! Or item of curiosity. I dare say it's a good thing I'm not a cat.
