MMMMMMM.....PIE..........

 I just got done baking two Lemon Meringue Pies in shortbread crusts.  Yum.  We're having a "Team Meeting" tomorrow at work and we were told to bring treats, so I made pie.  Of course I made TWO so that I could leave one at home...lol...After the meeting I'm getting my flu shot and then heading home to finish out my day

Well hey there! I haven't been around LJ much, and I need to get back and visit with friends :)

I hope my pies set OK...seems they may be a little more on the fluffy side than they normally are, for some reason! (Maybe I should have used smaller eggs????) Oh well, still tastes good!

Wizzy is lucky. The pies sound good.

I took Spanish in high school.
It is hard though if you have no one to practice with.
The way the verb changes for past, present, future and how everything has to be female or male.

I took night classes also at a local high school a few years back.
It was neat since I got to meet some great people and get some refresher courses.

Although my favorite classes were the creative writing courses and they had a course where you basically wrote your life history. They had some people that took that class over and over.

Is worker paying for the class.

It was one thing working for the city. I was able to take so many classes they taught esp with computers.

The pie was well received at work. Wizzy and I just had some more here at home, too :)

I'm excited about learning Spanish. We have an interpreter at work who has promised to "practice" with me. Some of my friends from work are also attending, which will be fun.

Yum, I REMEMBER hot syrup sponge! South Africa had a lot of British desserts...Lemon Meringue is my favorite. GOOD THING I can get to the gym this week LOL
