I can't believe it.  Yesterday was my 7-year anniversary of my arrival in the U.S.  It doesn't seem that long.  My friend Sue from work congratulated me and said she couldn't believe it was that long.  It was just a normal day for me though, long working day and coming home to be with the kits.  LOL

Thanks, Cyn! Yeah...just 11 days to go :) I'm changing cubicles on my birthday but I AM taking in pie - BANANA CARAMEL PIE. Haven't made it in over 10 years so I'm drooling at the thought! LOL

What makes it really unusual, not to mention, tasty, is that the caramel is made from boiling a can of condensed milk for a few hours. Don't know if you've ever tasted this but it is YUMMY...lol apart from the fact that it contains about a gazillion calories...lol

Happy 7th anniversary!!!!
Insomina is the pits. I sometimes drink a cup of warm milk with cinnamon before bed. It helps me. I put in a teaspoon of splenda to sweeten the deal!!

Thanks, Janet! Actually, I took 2mg of Melatonin last night and that seemed to do the trick. I'd drink milk except that I don't like the taste and if I try to drink cocoa I feel too full to sleep. LOL!

Congrats on your 7 year anniversary in the states! If the melatonin doesn't work some Valerian root might. I give it to my teenage son every once in a while when he can't sleep. Seems funny to me that they won't hire someone but will pay time and a half for you to do the work... seems like if they hired someone it would cost less and stress the current employees less. But overtime on the paycheck is good for you sooo..... :)HUGZ

Thanks very much, Cathe. Funny, we were talking about that at work today and trying to figure out how giving us OT could be saving the County $$$...I am the newbie, therefore the lowest paid, and I STILL stand to make around $28/hr before taxes. Go figure. I'm not complaining though - the extra money will come in very handy!

(((hugs))) back
