Timeline and Typing quirk "mood-ring"
...Like half of this is guesswork, but it's what I'm going on until I figure out better.
--> Defeat the BK. Gamzee stoned out of his mind and doesn't actually remember this
--> Bec Noir's attack/flee into the Veil. Only remaining sopor is what's in his sylladex.
--> Alterniabound?
--> Last sopor pie
--> Gamzee starts crashing hard. First (from his POV) trolling of Dave and the ICP video. He absconds from the computer lab.
--> Karkat starts wondering where the fuck he's gone to
--> Tavros killed. Terezi's "investigation" Meanwhile, Eridan murders Feferi and Kanaya (these all happen around the 3:14-2:42 timeframe--Gamzee is present for Terezi's investigation, which starts at 2:42)
--> Gamzee contacts Karkat. Karkat opens memo; future Gamzee trolls him. Present Gamzee might well be watching Terezi, Future Gamzee doesn't seem to have killed anyone yet or is just like a few seconds after he killed Equius and Nepeta.
--> Karkat and Terezi talk. Karkat asks Equius to go after Gamzee
--> Gamzee messes with Tavros's body and starts painting. Second (from his POV) trolling of Dave, and reveal of the universe sabotage.
--> Terezi heads to computer lab.
--> ?? Gamzee trolls Karkat's memo about him?
--> Gamzee murders Equius and Nepeta. Heads to roof.
--> Kanaya kicks him off of it and chainsaws Eridan. Meanwhile, Terezi finds Equius's and Nepeta's bodies.
--> Gamzee messes with her head for a while, and gets her to go to the roof.
--> Vriska's and Terezi's showdown: Gamzee watching from the shadows (seems to have happened very shortly before Cascade?)
--> ?? Doc scratch Convo with Vriska's comp while they're distracted
--> Showdown and shoosh paps
--> Cascade (or the end of the universe as they know it)
Canon confirmed he's over to alternating lines permanently, but keeping this here for my own reference.
Since his quirk is so very unstable, it can be used to determine his moods to some extent. Probably the only person he'll readily admit anything to is Karkat so this is the only way.
Note on the alt caps sorting: Gamzee's logs use two different methods to sort out the alt caps and where they fall. The first doesn't count punctuation and spaces while the second does and the changeover happens about halfway through but irrespective of where his logs are falling on the timeline, so in respect to caps sorting it isn't an IC change (like the switch to alternating lines is). That...second method doesn't feel organic and natural, honestly, and since the first method is also canon, I will use that exclusively. Personal aesthetic preference? You bet, but I find the later logs less pleasing to look at, and Gamzee has probably the most annoying quirk so!
On the other hand... Punctuation or the lack of it, however, seems more reasonable as something that would change ICly so those changes have been incorporated.
