Since I've Posted

It's been a long long time since I've posted and so much has changed in my life. I feel somewhat settled into the new routine, the new place, the job. . .it's not perfect, of course, because I don't have Orion with me 100% of the time. It's like having part of my soul ripped out, of course ( Read more... )

Honna, when I moved to Tacoma from California in September 1964, we stayed with my grandma on Prospect Street. She had a view of Mt. Ranier out her kitchen windown, above her sink. In the morning, she would look out: "Ah, the mountain is out. It's going to be a good day." Of course the mountain wasn't out in a storm. I hope the mountain is out today from your window.

Yes, I know about that phrase, "The mountain is out." Everyone seems to say that when Mt. Rainier is visible. It's so true. Lately, all the clouds have kept it completely hidden, so I haven't seen it for a while.

Glad to hear you are doing okay. We were worrying that we hadn't heard for so long.

And things with Orion being gone will get easier. And if you want to make it REALLY easy? Take him on a vacation for a week :):):) You will be SOOOOO glad when you give him back to Patrick. TRUST ME. My kids went back to Diane today and it's like someone outside stopped mowing their lawn where we hadn't heard a mower until they stopped... you know what I mean :)

I love my kids. Really, I do... :) :)

Take care.

Hi!
I've been wanting to tell you how much Orion and I have enjoyed Invader Zim. He's watching it right now, as a matter of fact! It's cool that that he wants to watch the same ones over and over again, so there's lots more left to explore! It's so strange and fun! Definately something you need to see to believe.
I hope things are great with you and the new little one!

I'm glad to see you resurface, Honna. Good luck at work this week. My first day with students is tomorrow. I'm thinking black thoughts about how short the summer break feels.

Sorry about having to return to work. I understand completely. We've had a cloudy summer, so it seems like no summer at all. Now that I'm back to LJ, I hope I can make a move to get back into writing!
