Like you, I really believe there is SOMETHING going on between them. I really don't have the extensive knowledge you have and I don't speak Japanese, but when I first started watching various episodes of their shows, one single thing really stood out to me:

In various episodes, when they're supposed to greet the audience, Nino will instead turn to Ohno and greet himMaybe it's some weird kind of fanservice, but why? Why do the fanservice at a point into the episode when there's really no way for the others (including Ohno) to react to it? They have to set up the episode, explain what's going to go on in it, etc., all within a few minutes. The others simply don't have TIME to draw attention to the fanservice Nino is providing. Also, even if Nino's actions could be followed up with witty banter and/or reactions for the audience ( ... )

I am with you on the "cynic when it comes to JE-Boys touching" (and YES! While I've seen various Akame/KamePi/Pin clips, I never once had the feeling that their touching was not deliberate fanservice!) and most of the times, while I'm amused by the fanservice, I'm very much aware that it is make-believe and that those boys, even if they're gay, are NOT the couple the hint at being.
With Ohno and Nino, though? Like you said, there's definitely something going on between them and while we'll never know what exactly is going on (though it really wouldn't surprise me if, in a few years time when Arashi isn't so insanely popular anymore, they'd make a huge scandal by being caught kissing outside a studio, or something), I wouldn't be surprised in the least if it was an attraction they have acted out on ( ... )

LOL! Yes, EXACTLY. Nino has a very distinct presence around Ohno, like he's acting as a physical barrier between him and the rest of the world. On MagoMago even, when the grandparents get friendly with Ohno, Nino gets even more touchy, and it always makes me wonder what exactly Nino's trying to prove.

But yes, your comment made me squee because YAY, I'M NOT CRAZY! and also because you came here through MAFIA!FIC of all things and that makes me equally flaily. Because that story is my baby and my firstborn and. Now I sound insane.

And no worries; I don't get comment notifications for EXACTLY THESE REASONS! XD Well, and because I'm in so many communities it would be insane. Yes.

XD It's like he's in constant fear that Ohno might be snatched away from him if he isn't careful! Which really isn't how normal friends behave around each other, unless they're four years old and female ( ... )

All my uploaded pictures are public, so anyone can view them! ^^ And you're free to take my avatars; all you need to do is go here. See how I've labeled which ones I made? You can take any of them, just save them like a regular picture. Then go into "Manage Userpics", and upload them. It's good to save them by the username of the person who made it; most avatar makers on LJ ask that you "credit in keywords", which means in the part of the upload menu that says "Comments", put "Made by [so and so]." To do a username tag, put <*lj user=[username]>, without the * or [].

first I AM slasher and I practically slash what I can (okay, not really XD) and I am Akame fan...but I'm not that stupid to thing there IS something because...well...look at Akanishi Jin, you'll know the reason right away, ne? :)) But OHMIYA! THERE'S THE WARMTH! THERE'S THE CLOSENESS! friends...whatever XD Well I mean they ARE close...and I THINK (and hope :X) they have something going on at least in their dirty little minds XD Ohmiya is one of those (if not the only one...nah don't think the only one) quite REAL pairings...in my opinion.
