He sought help against Varin...the Wolves were decimated by him alone. It was only Lupa and a few survivors who found their way to the Vanguards' former base using the waterways below the Junkyard.
Varin had somehow obtained the ability to make others go mad with hunger. He turned the Wolves against each other. Lupa's decision was a good plan, from a tactical standpoint.
...but he had begun to have strange dreams. Memories of another time and place.
Tell me, Bat...did you ever notice there were no children in the Junkyard? No civilians?
