Some valuable Christmas lessons learned in my 20 years:

• 
  Receiving a card without a gift is usually better than getting a gift that you don’t want. Cards are always appreciated.
• 
  Fighting for a parking spot in the mall during the holiday rush is just not worth it. The grocery store, however, is.
• 
  You need to practice aggressive shopping

Order your gifts online in November (the year before) if you want to see them under the tree in time.
