Beautiful and moving.

Norrington informed him gently, to disobey a direct order would be even more irregular.
Captain Norrington removed his hat and swept his new ship an elegant bow.
And jewel-encrusted. ;)

This rings so true as a portrait of Norrington on the cusp of fulfilled potential.

And so terribly heartbreaking, since we know what will happen to his beautiful lady. No wonder that loss knocked James into the gutter. *sniff*

Brilliant writing, as usual.

Norrington is such a wonderful character. I don't think they knew what they had in him. This is how I like to picture him--all the passion and justice and glory. Thank you so much for commenting.

Lovely. I especially liked Norrington throwing propriety to the wind and climbing the rigging. :)

I miss reading your nautical writing. Gorgeous and heart-rending. We don't often get to see this side of James but when we do it's amazing. Excellent work.

I'm glad to be doing some nautical writing again, even though it's such a time consumer to research. Thank you for your kind words. This is such a fun side of the dear future commodore to write. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
