Maybe someday Ana will ask Jack, if Jolly Mon struggled too...

“You’ve always had black sails, haven’t you?”
Fine, you can trust two ladies that they'll start fashion talk, sooner or later. ;)

You know, it's advance Christmas this year - you in writing mode. Keep it, keep it, please! :D

Ooooh! Plot bunny! Maybe that's why she sank with Jack?

Bwahahahahaha! That gave me such a laugh! How true it is.

Merry Christmas, then. The next chapter of "Crossing" is done, too. Thank you so much for your kind words.

Great story from start to finish; as I said in an earlier chapter your characterisation (of Ana, but also the Pearl) is spot-on. :)

Thank you for the lovely feedback. I'm delighted you enjoyed my missing scenes. This is such an interesting gap in the story. It's fun to explore what might have happened in it.

Oh, poor Pearl, newly freed, lost and afraid, and shivering in Anamaria’s hands like an injured and frightened wild thing. Lovely how Ana tried to soothe her and assuring her Jack would come. And it's quite true, of course, the Pearl has waited just as long as Jack has.

I've always thought this would be a terrible time for a sentient ship. And the Pearl has always been self-aware for me. I'm glad you enjoyed Ana's change of heart. Ana always seemed to me a person with violent, passionate emotions that lead the way with her, but with a more thoughtful, compassionate consideration over time. It fits with her stealing Jack's ship, but then risking everything to rescue him later. Of course, I'm sure the Pearl had something to say in that, too. She does want Jack back. Thank you again for commenting on these.

Oh, perfect that's Anamaria true--she's like the squalls that spin up in the afternoon, may blow a little or a lot. Then she second and third thinks herself to what her heart knows to be the best path. Lovely lovely.

Oh so nice!!!!! :-D I love how you have Anamaria try to soothe Pearl. I've always thought it was The Pearl, herself, who convinced Anamaria to go fetch Jack.
Drinks all around!

Thank you so much for commenting. Yes, something had to change for Anamaria between when she was willing to leave Jack to die and when she was willing to risk death to save him. I've always thought it was the Pearl, too.

Ohmyword! This story has been just lovely in so many ways and the last lines here tell the tale to a stunning finale. I always wondered how Anamaria could take the Pearl so easy and return her at the end of POTC with equal grace. You talked about my Pearl and Jack just like I love them...absolutely together, soulmates for time beyond thinking. Thank you for this lovely story.

Thank you so much. I also thought that transformation of Anamaria was intriguing. I've always enjoyed writing the ships as responsible for anything that creates a plot hole in the movie. Jack and his Pearl are certainly my OTP.
