...Yeah, I knew this was going to happen when I started taking Shakespeare. I just didn't think I'd get and actual assignment to do it. ^^

The assignment was this:

"The play ends with 3 happy couples: Portia & Bassanio; Nerissa & Gratiano; Jessica & Lorenzo. Write a happily ever after (or not so happily ever after) tale as their lives unfold over ( Read more... )

Hello. I'm an Spanish girl that is in love with with Shakespeare, and with the Antonio/Bassiano pairing. You can see that my English is a bit... terrible, but... I'm trying it. I want to add you, 'cause I'm seeing here Antonio/Bassiano!! And it's a fantastic fanfiction.

So... ¿Can I add you?^^

Sorry about the delay! LJ's weird about telling me when I have comments.

Sure, you can add me. ^^ I haven't written any other Antonio/Bassanio, but friends are good, right?

... How did I not read and comment on this before?
I love how all this is still subtext, and how you had both happy and not-quite-happy and sad endings (and that's more than "both", but bare with me), it made things... more realistic, I guess.
Anyway good work~

I'm here via a rec at crack_van, and I really enjoyed this! Your take on the characters is great (it seems very plausible that Nerissa and Portia would take comfort in each other when disappointed with their husbands), and I love the way you express so much in few words. Lovely. :-)
