[This could've gotten extravagant, but Zuko is pretty done with extravagant lately. Although a few years ago he never thought he'd be thinking this, right now he'd rather have a quiet, plain lunch with no distractions

[She had arrived again in the Fire Nation capital to pick up the phone that Zuko had gotten for her (even if he refused to actually help her learn how to use it), and had been surprised to actually wrangle him into agreeing to lunch. Not that she was complaining; he was part of the gaang, and she earnestly enjoyed Claire's company. It was definitely a win-win situation.

Katara slipped into the room, a little disappointed that Claire hadn't arrived yet, and lifted her hand in greeting before pausing across the table at Zuko, executing a brief but polite Fire Nation bow.]

[ When Claire comes crashing into the room it's anything but polite. It's kind of unannounced and rushed because she's sure she's late and -- well, look at that. She's the last one there. Then again, she did have the whole distance excuse on her side. ]

Tell me you didn't start without me, sorry, I got caught up with Lyle and his stupid DVD player and -- [ She smiles warmly when she finally stops for a minute, dropping the shoulderbag she brought with her onto the ground. ]

Yeah. That. [Zuko rolls his eyes. This is probably supposed to be some courteous social gathering, but he is just out of courtesy.]

Sit, eat something.

[Katara smiles at Claire when she does finally come crashing into the room, lifting a hand to her mouth to mask the laugh that threatens to bubble out at the exasperated excuse, and she shakes her head quickly. DVD player? She'd have to ask about that one eventually.]

No, you're fine. Just relax, the food isn't even cold yet.
