Just so everyone knows, Gmail has been crashing my browser, so any threads you want me to pick up, let me know in IRC or email me at Cordelia at faineantreviews.com. That's where I'll be getting my email until I figure out what the hell's wrong with gmail, so if anyone has adrnirals.captain at gmail as the way to contact me, don't email me there ( Read more... )

...huh, strange, and I'm assuming you updated to latest version.

Is your computer relatively old? Maybe it can't handle this new version of gmail?

Alternately, do you use a lot of addons?

My computer's only a year old, and top of the line when I got it. And I only use a few addons. Adblock, Cookiesafe, Noscript, Tabmixplus, Download Statusbar, gmail manager and the ljlogin one. ...Okay, more than a few, but I don't think that many.

Eeew. No chance of hitting it while turning off Java and Scripts? :/

...Huh. That had actually not occurred to me. And it seems to not freeze when I do that. ...Never mind, then, I guess. Thank you~

You're welcome! You'll have to hit extra buttons to tag things, and refresh manually for new messages, but it saved my ass when I had to cockblock LJ's failing scripts freezing my comp dead.

Gmail upgraded recently to some new version -- it works decently on my own computer but crashes my school computer's browser, so I dunno if that's what's going on?

If it switched over to the new version for you! Uh. In the upper righthand corner of Gmail, there should be a link that says "Older Version" or whatever. Try clicking on that and see if it helps you?

Oh, so that's how you change it back. Huh. I think you just saved me from having to disable javascript on google forevermore. Thank you!
