Haruto's transformation was cancelled as his mana ran out. And Koyomi's background's further expanded as Rinko made an observation. Kinda neat that Rinko was written t be so observant, well... she's a cop afterwards. Good that she's not around just for sidekick... reminds me of Ichijou. And interesting to note that Koyomi had similarities with the pianist. Nice to have Rinko being the voice of reason as she tried to bond with Koyomi.
There were speculations that Medusa's Koyomi's Phantom but unlikely, I guess. Interesting to note that this time Wizard didn't need to enter another Gate's Underworld, yet in a way... through Koyomi passing on Haruto's words that he once said to her back to him, he get to see the present in a new light.

This episode revolves around a beautiful lady that charms many men yet her true nature was not as it seemed to be. Seeing how the character was written like that, there's no surprise why Matsumoto Wakana-san was cast to play Masami. Come to think, half of the character that she played in other series do have that kind of setting (bijin lady who guys have the hots on). Like as Airi in Den-O, where the reason Milk Dipper had more male customers was because Airi was beautiful and had that melancholic aura (for losing Sakurai) and that they guys all want to flirt with her. Same as in Conan live action series where in one episode her character Nana (a beautiful lady) was killed indirectly because she loved the same man her friend loved.
But well, since Masami was a Gate, her character won't be so shallow. Yet the episode was funny to watch with Shunpei et al falling for Masami and do silly things for her.
