The episodes starts with a bang~ Love how the inner phantom just spurred him back to action~
I was right, this episode arc gonna be touching a bit of Haruto's past as well as reveal a bit of Haruto's side that wasn't seen before. Since earlier, Haruto had always appeared to be full of confidence and powerful. Yet this arc had him be defeated due to a stronger enemy and you get to see him at his weak point.
Love how Dragon was portrayed as kinda dark version of Haruto, which it is since the Phantom would have taken Haruto's image. The true form of Dragon was also pretty, as pretty as Dragredder. In fact, it did have that Ryuki feeling aka Phantom! Haruto was like what could have been if Mirror!Shinji and Dragredder was the same creature person.

So after a while, Kizaki made an appearance again. And we get to find out why he had been interested in Wizard. And he had a magic stone and wanted Wajima to create a magic ring for him. This just screams a new ring for Wizard, isn't it?

So we get the background on why Kizaki was so interested in Wizard. Makes sense, before Wizard properly made his appearance... there should be something happening elsewhere that will be noticed by the local police, accidentally. The Phantoms wouldn't 'just' be active at the same time as Wizard. And we get the reason why he wanted to make the magic ring.... except, it was unlikely Kizaki could ever used it.
It kinda have the vibe of the Aozora Association, where the normal people would want to attempt a way to fight off the monsters. But not now~ So the magic stone was entrusted to Wizard~

So Wajima-san made not one, but two rings. Seem legit, seeing the size of it. And we learned that the magic stones was the one that determined what kind of magic rings that would be created, and it's not Wajima-san's decision. That should explain what happened with the Special ring; as well as Smell and sleep rings.
This time the victim was Shunpei's senior (?) and Shunpei tried to be a better assistant to Haruto. Well, as much as it was annoying to watch, can't blame him much. I mean, Koyomi could help with all the magic stuffs... and Rinko with all the police backup, Wajima-san with the rings. He must have felt a bit useless. Nice eye-candy with all the sweets...and hey~ the return of the frequently appearing well-known extra guy~ I swear he had a contract to appear in the series franchise as one of the victims for the series' monsters.
I mean, in Decade... he was that police chief that died during the grongi attack. In GARO, he's the stage director where the actor goes rampaging. And Den-O~~~ Piano man~~~ See where I'm going?
