Reccers comments: This picks up from the end of Dead Man's Blood and the premise, the lead vamp seeking revenge for her mate's death against John through Dean, is perfect. Sam and John's disagreements shine through just as they would appear in canon and yet their devotion to finding Dean doesn't get lost. Dean for the most part puts up a brave front, but who wouldn't get freaked having vamps sucking on you when you only just recently learned they exist.

Reccer comments: Poor Dean. This is teen Dean and his vulnerability and naivete really show when he runs into a succubus. Can a guy get more embarrassed than being rescued in the middle of a succubus fuck to death by his dad? But Dean's recuperation and shame and, ugh, just his vulnerability at that age just make you want to hug him and make it better.

Sam and Dean's issues at this time can be felt and enrich there interactions with each other as well as the damsel in distress. My favorite kind of Dean hurt here.

My favorite line 'Seriously, playing hide and seek in a semi public shithouse like some deranged three year old is right up his brother's alley'. LOL loved this.

Reccer Comments: Well not as much tasting here as others but the fugly sure as hell wanted to and poor Dean was quite helpless to stop it. Thank goodness for smart, independent younger brothers who can more than save the day. Dean learns a little bit about himself and the meaning of a soul too. Delightful reading.
