I'm glad that you enjoyed Will here. I found that section difficult to write. I figured that Robs is really the only person he has to talk to now that Allan is gone and that since Will is from Locksley, Robs would have seen him grow up. Will is difficult to write dialogue for because he is so quiet, normally, so I had to try to limit what he said but still have it be enough to carry on the conversation. I wanted him to appear desperate - a young man who knows he is in love with this strange woman from a foreign land and is trying to make sense of it all. I hope that it came across.

It really did. You did a great job! I think I enjoyed the Will scene because you did such a great job reconciling his quiet intensity with his need to talk to SOMEONE about how he's feeling. I can see how he would be difficult to write.

this is by far one of the best pre-series fictions i have read!

i also love the way you came to present and still linked it back.

Wow **blushes** Thanks. I LOVE writing pre-series! There is just so much implied on the show and it is amazing fodder for fan fic. I am working on another multi-chapter now, but I don't anticipate that it will be done until June or so. I don't write linearly, so I can't post it until all of the chapters are done. The new one has backstory in it as well. It occurs between chapters 1 and 2 of this fic.

This is wonderful - I love seeing fics set pre-series and then to move to them in the forest fit in very well with the earlier chapters. Your characterisation is spot-on, I think. It will be interesting to see how long they can both stay 'honourable' :P
