Its cute, but it still suffers from the same problem all Hybrid do. The battery technology only lasts 4-7 years, is very expensive to replace, and the lithium is VERY VERY bad for the environment.
Better to pick up a fit(honds), or yaris(toyota) or even wait a bit as some advanced diesels are coming out that will get 50-60MPG. For that matter however that little honda SUV of yours gets good millage doesn't it?
Well as cool as the insight might be, I would still prefer my gas car over the Hybrid. But the Insight is at a good price starting at $20,000. And the CR-V I have does get pretty good gas milage. I can get about 29 highway if I'm real good.
It's a good compromise car. Not as good economy as a Prius, but better handling. It is based on the Fit (and I love my Fit) which is good. It'll sell well I'm sure.
