hoogie's on 2008 olympics final

just a few moments ago there it was, pieter raced in the 100m freestyle. 
he doesn't won though, the gold went to alain bernard.
pieter got the 5th place.

but still i'm happy for hoogie. his timing was not so bad. and dont forget his competitors are way younger.

i'm still and will be hoogie's no#1 fan...

His timing was pretty good, although his timing for the semi yesterday was even better.

Anyway, he will always be my fave swimmer ever. Love you Hoogie!

I'm just sad that we won't be seeing him anymore after this, since he is retiring. *sniff*

Has that been confirmed? I heard he might hold on until the 09 championships. Then again I haven't been too up to date on my swim news.

arghhh...i thought he doesn't follow the beijing olympic games, but in that age, he's well...still love him ^__^

He'll always be my favorite swimmer. I'm glad because he's swimming career has been brilliant, he did a good time but its important to remember that the new competition is younger (and some other elements can aid on record breaking times-different suits for example). I'm kind of sad because we'll not see him again swimming. :-(
