I'm 21, female, graduating in a few weeks.
I first started doing latch hook when I was pretty young - alittle less than 10 years ago. My grandfather got me started with it - he was made a rug for my newly born cousin. My dad also used to latch hook - he has this really amazing rug of a sailboat he did.
Don't mind the goose, please.. My mom bought it not too long ago from some magazine and she has all these different outfits for it.. However, it's the only pic I have on my computer that shows the rug at all. There's a lot more detail at the bottom of it, so I guess the pic really doesn't do it justice.
I don't latch hook all that often - I'm in the middle of making one that has 3 kittens on it. It's just a pain because it's bulky - I can't bring it with me when I'm in the car on trips or whatever like I can with my cross-stitching. I've been having an itching to pick it up again, and I've decided once I get done with school I'll start it once more. I have to clean out my apartment of things I won't need anymore (my lease is up in the summer and I'm staying out here to work through the college) as well as throw a lot of stuff away that's under my bed. Once I get the space here, I'll have a ton more room to store it and actually spread out and do it.
Thanks for listening to me ramble on :P
