Yesterday Boss worked out a rota for our team for working in the office / at home. It was all nicely set up for us to be in pairs, swapping over to take account of the part timers' normal working patterns, and carefully arranged so that we could identify work on our in days to do on our home days. My central heating has been banging a lot. It's mostly the downstairs circuit, but upstairs has been doing it to a lesser extent. I've bled the radiators several times, which makes a bit of difference for a couple of days, then it comes back as bad as before ( Read more... )

 Today was the Daventry grading for White to brown belts. The assistants help out with the admin and organisation. My job is registering the students as they arrive and giving out the numbers. My remortgage completed yesterday. I got a phone call on Monday lunchtime from the legal bods to let me know they were planning to complete the next day and it all went through with no issues. Last night I called in at the surgery to get an appointment about the cold I've had since September. My appointment was at 8.40 this morning. I guess it helps that I don't care who I see and turning up in person in the evening means they can allocate any odd spaces. Conveyancers have received the redemption figures from HSBC. These are based on a repayment date of 20 Feb - obv with adjustments for different dates. Basically, everything is in place and could be completed by next weekend, ie, less than 3 weeks start to finish ( Read more... )

Since applying online  for a mortgage with Santander on Monday 4 Feb, I've been kept up to date, sent things to complete, signed everything online, including the things HSBC's legal people sent via second class post, and had the valuation done remotely.
