And we're back...

I am freaking right the fuck out. Just to go ahead and state that.

School is starting on Monday. Fine, whatever. It happens every year, no matter how much I fight it. But last year, and the year before and so on, I wasn't trying to work a job so that I had money to buy my books and pay for the gas for my car so that I didn't have to have a two and a ( Read more... )

I'm sorry things feel crazy for you right now. You shouldn't feel bad for going out of town and having some fun. If there's anything I can help with (even if it's just someone to rant at) let me know.

*hugs*

There's always the cliched "This too shall pass," and that's absolutely no help whatsoever to you.

Enjoy the fact that you got to go to Boston, whether you slept all day or wandered around aimlessly and looked at things that currently aren't remembered. They will be, once you have a chance to unwind, be it spectacular unwinding or calmly unwinding.

I am learning that life seems to be a matter of wanting to be a grown-up, and then wishing you weren't.

But you're not alone, and anything that I can help with, I certainly will.

You should note that Haunt Craft night is not mandatory. While technically, you may have that evening off, it may be better to take that evening for you to study, rest, relax. You will be no good to us in October if you have a nervous breakdown in September. Everyone has to take time for themselves every now and then.

I have no advice for you on the Denton/Dallas thing since I don't know where you are living. It could be a county issue in which case, there are parts of Dallas that are in Denton County. If it's a city thing, I got nothing.

Yes, having more responsibilities is rather stressful. You will get through this (though it sucks cause it doesn't help now) it takes time finding your groove with new schedules and new work loads.

The absolute best thing I have learned along the way is; If I can't fix the problem NOW, or impact it in anyway NOW.... let go the anxieties and the worry - that is not to say you don't CARE or you are not CONCERNED....but the gut wrenching agony is simply more luggage to carry around when you can't do anything to get off the train station platform(somehow I mixed my metaphore...)

take time for your self, otherwise you wont be able to give your self to anything else later. *hugs* you have brownies awaiting you whenever you need them.

Turns out, it's harder when you can do what you want 'cuz you're then responsible for how things turn out. But then you watch and experience and learn and manage to wrangle it into more freedom on your own terms... and it is good.

But mostly 'cuz you can carve out space to act like you're six again. And if you budget right, you can get much better toys. ;-)

Sorry your world is suckage. I do remember working in the Brookhaven registrar's office and having to explain to people that there is a small portion of the City of Dallas that is, in fact, located in Denton county. There's also a wee bit in Collin, too. Weird.

Sounds like you're working Saturday. If you're not, you hsould come over. We're past due for bad movies.

*hugs*
