"Mister Train, that is absolutely unnecessary!" - Me

Sep 03, 2007 00:11

Yes, the potential of an Amtrak station on campus is terribly exciting, but the fact that there is a non-amtrak, horn-blowing train every 13 minutes or so, on average (sometimes more, sometimes less) is...less than appealing. I desperately want to try to hop one for kicks and adventures, but I don't think it's the best idea.

Aw... you could be like those poor people during the Depression that rode trains cross country cause they had nothing better to do! :)

I think I spent September 1st sitting on my coach and wallowing in sorrow--three of my friends that actually hang out with me left that day (including you!!!)

But I'm glad you like it there! I will send you a package/envelope/thing with your thing from Germany in there!!!! :) :) :)

(and Mark Twain would be jealous of you... he wanted to go to the jungle)

Hey, this is me prohibiting you from wallowing in sorrow any longer. And yay for packages!

aww man. you have no idea how much this makes me want to start classes right now. You and Ella both sound like you have awesome roommates, and are going to have a great time. I just want classes to start so that I can prove that I will too (and stop worrying that college won't be awesome).

Aaaand - holy crap! The jungle? That's soooo cool! Forget Mark Twain, I'm jealous of you!

Let's all realize that I haven't been given the opportunity to take the jungle class yet. Jealousy is really not necessary. You'll have a great time for sure, don't worry.

I didn't realize until after I came to OWU how much OWU's study-abroad go-somewhere-not-here program is kinda sucky compared to other places (places like Knox).

But I still got to go to West Virgina and go subterranean and climb some rocks. Whoop whoop not-Mexico not-Jungle whoop.

You are so going to kick it like awesome at Knox.

I want to go subterranean! Did you find the center of the earth?
This is where your Graham set-up-an-internship experience will come in handy: Set OWU up with more study abroad locations and programs! Do it, do it, do it...
Anyways, you're already kickin' it like awesome at Ye Olde Wesleyan, so keep it up.

No, but we could have if some meanie-butt hadn't decided to stop us all by not listening to the instructor and falling, thus freezing us in place. He suffered a few other unfortunates too, but since he was still a total jerk-creep-player-bastard-son-of-ugly-people I felt it very difficult to offer any sympathy. We missed the clay room because of him, where former explorers had made statues.

Such is my plan! Or rather, to check out outside programs and get them to take me places - the government would gladly pay me to learn Arabic for half the summer in Morocco (or any other number of "useful" languages).

Haha I love your "total jerk-creep-player..." etc. insult. And definitely do Morocco, or something like that!
