There were kittens all over Tony's laptops. Seriously, there was barely a single spot that a kitten had not taken to sleeping on.

He was just lucky to have his keyboard free to use. For now"Oh, c'mon," Tony muttered, setting one of the cats back onto the floor. "Where are you guys even coming from ( Read more... )

The kitten that Stephanie had somehow acquired while out on a run this morning didn't seem to like her very much. She'd stop to pet it, and it would hiss, puff out its tail, bat at her hand . . . and then keep following her around anyway.

She'd named it Damian.

"Oh, this requires photo evidence," she announced, leaning in the doorframe as she dug her phone out.

Silly, silly Tony. Did you really think she wouldn't?

"Mmmmm-hmm." Stephanie held the phone up to get a good angle, while Damian sat down nearby and just glared at her. "Say cheese, sweetie."

"You're a terrible girlfriend," Tony said with a smile. Hey, he might as well look awesome in it.

Topher was fresh from the park, along with his puppy, when he finally made it back to the dorms for the night. His plan was to relax, maybe read a textbook, and possibly have some Doritos for dinner, except that the minute he unlocked his door, his puppy -- Broca, after the neuroscientist -- decided to dart the other way and into the room across the hall instead.

Topher shut his eyes for a moment, took a moment to bang his head against his doorframe just the once, and then turned around and headed toward Tony's room.

"Uh. Did a puppy just run in here?"

"...Sure?" Broca did really like chewing on wires. "'Cause I thought I saw Broca run in--" And what followed was a strangled squawking noise as the aforementioned puppy came up from who-even-knew-where and tried climbing up the inside of Topher's pants. "Okay! Okay. Found him. Aaaallrighty."
