Yes. "Happy" is not high on her current list of emotions, but I think that even Rachel would have a breaking point. Finn telling her, point-blank, that he did not need her was it. There is light at the end of the tunnel, though! ; )

Wow, I had no idea this was going to be a chapter story but I certainly glad it is :) The chapters are short but they're really worth it and I can't wait to keep reading ♥

Haha. I could have made it a one-shot, but I thought that might have readers coming after me with pitch-forks for not explaining Finn's "I don't need you" comment.

Yes, the chapters are short--at least as far as my past stories go. I have challenged myself to keep them that way this time. My chapters are usually VERY long (like around 3,000 words each), so I wanted to see if I was able to write shorter chapters. Believe it or not, the chapters for this story are about average length compared to most mult-chaptered fics. This chapter was 1,014 words and 2 1/2 pages. I doubt if I'll be able to continue this the whole way through. I am a long-winded writer! Even this response was long! ; )

Thank you so much for taking the time to review! I really appreciate it!

Bravo! I love the confliction between what Rachel makes herself believe and what is actually true, and the fact that she knows deep down that she really does still care about Finn. Especially in the last lines:
...Rachel congratulated herself for finally taking back control of her life.

If only she could control the trembling of her body.

That pretty much sums up what she's going through.

Oh, and confused/hurt Finn? Heartbreaking and adorable at the same time.

Can't wait for more! :)

Yes, Rachel is great at deluding herself. I think that, even for Rachel, there would be a breaking point that would make her determined to move on. Finn telling her that he did not need her would be devastating enough to make her try. When Rachel tries, she is hell bent on succeeding even when her head and heart are at odds.

Thanks for the review, as always!
