It reminded me of a POTO paradox I have. Reading the news story, I found it myserious and fascinating. In real life, I'd probably be very freaked out.
Similarly, I find the Phantom's behaviour romantic and intense in fiction, but in real life I'd be getting a restraining order

Anyone who is willing to lug heavy stones about at 4 in the morning has to be getting *something* out of it, I think.
