Since last time you guys were a huge help, I decided to turn to you in my new bind as well.

It will only take a second of your time, I promise, and it will be a huge help for me. Thanks in advance to anyone who helps out. <33

Though if they're twins maybe Shinji and Renji? Even though I hate making twins look like twins... Ah, well. I don't know. Ryuuji just sounds... maybe not right. @@;;

YOUR HOUSE ICON. O___O IT OWNS ALL! <3333

No, no, not twins. Ryuuji is decided - I wanted one brother to be a "ryuu", definitely, but he's not the main character. The main character is the other brother, on whose name I haven't decided yet.

Also, Ryuuji is the older brother, by two or three years, I still haven't completely settled on that matter as well. But I like Renji too, though. ^___^

*tackle-glomps*

Thanks for your input! I really appreciate it! <333

You could just name him "Ryuu" if you want that sound. I was wondering about the 'ji' sound ... and ironically, I've seen shows with two of the names (obviously Shinji and Ryuuji) and I adore them as characters so I'd be more partial to those names but think of the other characters.

You do have a point, but at the same time I want the "ji"s because they'll be the same (even kanji-wise, though I still haven't looked up any meanings for "ji" or "shi" in the dictionary) in both brothers' names, which, other than their blood, will be the only thing they have in common.

I know well what you mean with thinking of the other characters--I did the same while looking for possible names for my characters too. I think that it will be an interesting challenge to be able to build characters with names that readers have come across before in anime and manga and to see whether I'd be able to build mine as strong enough individuals to make people stop associating the two immediately upon hearing. It's quite the trial so it would probably be interesting. :3

Well, I know "shinji" means "believe" since that's a theme in Evangelion. But yeah. :)

That's if it's one word. :) "Shin" means "real", "true", also, I think "trust". However, there's another word that sounds the same and is pronounced "shin", which means "god".

Which is what I will be going for, if the name sticks. :) So my Shinji and the Shinji you will at first associate him with won't be the same even as prototypes. x3

I voted for the first option. It's just that I have a problem with characters whose names start with the same letter, esp. if they're related)) I just think that if they were my kids, I'd never choose names that were similar for them))

Hmmm, that's quite a fresh point of view you have there. :333 I'm really grateful to you for sharing it with me. :333

And you do have a point with the naming thing, even though the reverse logic was what was leading me when coming up with options. xDDD Do you feel the same way about naming twins, by the way? :)

You're welcome)) Names and I have a love/hate relationship, so I'm always glad to help out smn else))
I guess so. I mean, twins already look the same; why torture them with similar-sounding names? XD

Hahah, yeah, I can relate to that very well. @_@ It took me some vehement thinking to come up even with as much and then I was so overly indecisive about it... xDD It was great help, thank you, dear~ *glomps*

Hahahah, your view on the twins matter is epic win! x333 If you had twins, you probably wouldn't allow them to wear the same clothing either, huh? xD

Shinji (heart child)?
Nobiji (growing child)?
Maneji (imitating child)?
Kutsuji (hurting child)?
Koenji (supportive child)?
Fuyuji (winter child)?
Fukuji (lucky child)?
Buguji (weapons child)?
Batsuji (disciplining child)?
Arashiji (storm child)?

Owning a Japanese dictionary sure made this handy.

Hmm, so "ji" can be "child" as well, huh? Nice. :333

Thanks so much for the help, Saku-chan~ *glomps* ^_^ I'm still probably going to go with Shinji. xD

No problem~ And that's okay, I just came up with all those names just to be funny. It's nothing serious. XD They all sound kinda funny too.
