Questions for TRB Alum

- I'm not very knowledgable about flying, can anyone tell me if $220 seems like a good flight price? I'm going from Detriot to NOLA. The price keeps fluctuating and I'm worried that if that's a good price I'm gonna lose it if I don't book soon

$220 isn't that bad. My flight is looking to be around $200.

I would almost say to try to get a bit of a later flight. It all depends on what time you get off the boat. A 2 or 3 pm flight might be swafer...

I took a cab from the airport to the htoel in Miami, but there might be shuttles. There is a shuttle from the hotel to the boat. Well, there was last year. It might be trickier this year due to the fact that there is not one central hotel. I am not sure as to how that will be working.

yuppers - they have announced they ae negotiating shuttle prices for all us trb-ers and wills end out details so we can book shuttles to go straight from theport to the airport.

and yes $220 seems a good deal. i'm around $200 right now (and i keep checking too) from atlanta to NoLa so for $20 more you're covering a whjole hell of a lot more miles !:)

and if you dont let the porters take your bags the night before (like they tell you to( and carry them yourself off the boat, you might make the 12:20....then again that whole checkin, check the bag thing might slow you down. i was at the airport by 10 am last year but this airport i believe is further form the port...

I'd aim for a later flight back based on the advice I've been given - and there should be shuttles from what I'm told - what do I know, though - I'm a TRB virgin too!

$220 isn't bad - atleast you've got major airports to fly out of! I'm stuck flying out of our little airport, as a result my airfares are all around $300-350. I'm still looking though!

And fear not - I'll be making the final payment on there once I'm back from the UK again. Things have been craaazy - sorry I didn't e-mail ya back earlier!
